Christmas movie of the  season! Starring Todd Terry, Marianne Haaland, Corey Cannon, Sharon Oliphant, and  Stacey Sheffield, “Christmas at the Cabin” delivers a touch of chaos and laughter,  plenty of heart, and one truly unforgettable Christmas. Beautiful scenery blends with original music and beloved holiday classics, making this a perfect film for the  entire family. Make your plans to watch this Christmas.

My Review:

This Christmas movie has a positive element to add this film as a new Holiday Classic. It enclosed Christmas music that will lift your spirits and get you ready to sing along. It contained an unexpected story of a husband and wife traveling to a cabin with her sister. When they arrived they discovered that Josh's friend from college is staying at the cabin too. They are forced to spend the Holidays together and there are conflicts and challenges. Michelle is less than thrilled of the college friend and they struggle to get along. Josh's friend, Guy doesn't believe in God and doesn't understand their faith. In the movie, Michelle gets angry and runs off and meets a cowboy, Luke. He is able to teach her some difficult lessons that change the course of the film. I immensely like the faith conversations in the film and how it assisted watcher to dig deeper into their own faith this Christmas season. I liked how it contained humorous scenes and such a impactful message.

One of my favorite hidden things in the film was the cowboy, Luke played by Todd Terry is one of the main actors in the TV series: Vindication as well as Corey Cannon and Marianne Haaland who also appeared in that TV show and all stared together in this film.

My Review:

This Bible is a brand new study Bible that is being released very soon. This one is very unique in the fact that it is written by a pastor, David Guzik. He shared his personal commentary and touched on every single chapter in the Bible. He explained how pastors are called to preach the word and teach it to others and he came up with the idea to incorporate it into a Bible. His main goal in doing this is to assist readers in understanding the Bible and applying the word to their daily lives. I liked how he had footnotes at the bottom of the pages and this was written as a commentary feature explaining the verses in detail like a pastor would. He begins the Bible by sharing how important it is to know God. These stated how God created the world, we reveled against God, God restores us, and much more.

There is a helpful chart that shows each book of the Bible and the author, date of writing, and how many chapters and verses. They are color coded too into different key features. I liked how he included an introduction to each book of the Bible and provided a background on the author and what we need to pay attention to while reading it.

One of my favorite features included the four gospels side by side: Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John and how they all synoptic together. It was presented in a table format. It showed who the original audience was, who Jesus Christ was portrayed as, percentage spoken by Christ, keyword, and much more. It thought this was extremely helpful in seeing the similarities and differences throughout the Gospel and provided an easier to see key features.

There is pastoral application notes throughout the Bible. At the very end of the Bible, there is an identity in Christ chart, 30 days of getting to know God, 30 days of getting to know Jesus, a concordance, maps, just to touch on some. The Bible was enclosed in a beautiful brown leather over and had two ribbons, a blue and gold color to help you keep track of your place.

Peace of God Bible Review and Giveaway

• You were made for peace—and to be a peacemaker. The story of the Bible is the story of peace—peace with God and with one another. But peace isn’t simply a feeling of calm or ease. It is a way of experiencing life as we were always meant to—in relationship with our Creator and with each other. We can recover a completeness that was once lost but is restored in the gospel.

• The Peace of God Bible invites you to experience peace with God as you trace this important theme throughout Scripture. By meditating on it daily as you read 365 devotions and application notes, you will find the encouragement you need to live out of the wholeness you have in Christ—and be equipped to share that peace with others.

My Review:

Peace of God is a brand-new Bible featuring key themes covering all the topics relating to peace. In the beginning of Genesis, we read about how in the Garden of Eden there was peace and harmony. In Revelations, we see how God restores the Earth and we see all of the broken pieces being put back together and peace returns. In the middle which we are currently living in, we face struggles, temptations, disappointments, heartbreaks, and sadness. In scriptures we are reminded of how we walk through the valley of the shadow of death as seen in Psalm 23. This Bible touches on peace and how we can choose to live in it every single day.

It contained devotions, articles, study themes, peace notes, book introductions, cross-references, and a concordance. The Bible stated how peace appeared 614 times in the original language of the scriptures and is a constant theme in Jesus’ teachings. They looked at Paul and how he had a plan for peace. He enclosed steps towards peace and how we can recover and maintain it.

One of my favorite devotionals included covered the topic of being strong and courageous see Joshua 1:9. As we remember, Joshua was the leader after Moses died and he was commanded to live courageously. This scripture discussed how we are commanded to be strong and how we should have courage. We don’t need to be afraid. Paul reminded us also that God hasn’t given us a spirt of fear.

I immensely enjoyed this Bible and how impactful it is on encouraging us to live our lives in peace. The devotions were refreshing to the spirit and provided us with reminders to enhance our moods while keeping us Christ centered. The Bible is easy to read and the font is the perfect size. It also comes with two ribbons to keep track of your process and it makes it easy to cross reference.

My Review:

This movie features a fun filled cast enclosed with a Fall theme. The majority of the movie is watchers enjoying the journey of growing the giant pumpkin. There is completive competition among all kinds of age groups and this girl, Charlie has a dream she will become this year’s winner. She has a gift that allows her to connect with plants when she touches them. She able to feel and understand them and what they need. It was interesting to watch her connection with plants and it makes you think about the green thumb saying. The film also showcased the relationship between aunt and niece and how they were able to develop a deeper relationship. There is core message in the film and will remind us the importance of living our lives. There is a reminder that these days are the best days of our lives. We need to forget the worst times and focus on the positive. I really liked the film and how festive it was towards the Fall season. It doesn’t really cover Halloween even though it did have a pumpkin theme. This makes it very family friendly and could even inspire kids to have their own growing a pumpkin contest.
