You Were Born for This By Bruce Wilkinson Book Review

In You Were Born for This, Bruce Wilkinson explored how to deliver every day miracles to anyone who God nudges you to. He believes that God still wants miracles to occur. God wants to use us as a partner to accomplish them. We have to listen to his leading and take risks. Wilkinson teaches that you must give God the credit for prompting you to help deliver a miracle. It is by his power and leading that you can help other people. The book contains five signals that help the deliver to listen to the leading of God. He will walk you through delivering a miracle to people who are in deep need of one.

Wilkinson has found that there are three keys that cover everyone needs. The three keys are money, dreams, forgiveness. Everyone is affected and needs a miracle from God. Anybody can partner with God to let him use them for his Glory. We just have to be willing and listening to him. The book also contains a special section entitled “Real People, Real Miracles”. This section gives stories about miracles from everyday people. The book contains “Discussion Questions” to help you to go deeper in your study.

I would recommend this book to everyone who is longing to make a difference in someone else's life. God can use anybody if they will let him! No one is useless or unable to help deliver a miracle for the Glory of our Father! I have learned to partner with God to let him use me willingly. The steps in this book will lead you to helping accomplish a delivery miracle for God. You will learn how to make a difference in someone else’s life and give God the credit! The book will make you believe that miracles do happen daily!

The Truth of the Matter By Andrew Klavan Book Review

In The Truth of the Matter, Charlie West is searching for a man named Waterman. West has found out that Waterman knows all about his past and the Homelanders. Waterman gave West a drug to help him to remember the past year of his life. West started to remember everything in flashbacks that sometimes were so strong that it knocked him out. The third book in the series reveals the truth behind why the Homelanders are after him. The Homelanders and the police are getting closer to tracking down West. Will he be able to escape them or will they capture him? Will Charlie West survive? Can he ever stop running?

I would recommend this book to anyone who loves mystery books! It has a lot of action and secrets that are finally coming out in the third book of the series. Andrew Klavan can definably write magnificent action packed books! I was shocked to learn some of the truths about why the Homelanders are after Charlie West. I can’t wait to start reading the final book in the series coming very soon! If you want an immense summer book check out the Homelanders series, you won’t regret it!

Cure for the Common Life by Max Lucado Book Review

In the Cure for the Common Life, Max Lucado believed that people need to be living in their sweet spot and enjoying their life. Lucado teaches readers to love themselves and be unique because God made everyone special. He wanted everyone to find out what gifts God has equipped them with and to pursue their calling. Studying your story will help you find the clues to fulfilling your purpose. We have to not let others define who we are supposed to be and what we are supposed to be doing. The book contains two unique stories about people who are living out their sweet spot and changing many lives. If they haven’t listened to God’s calling how many lives would have missed out on them!

This quote stuck out to me:

“They say the same to you. Look over your shoulder, my friend. The crowd is one step back. They don’t consult your strengths or know your S.T.O.R.Y. Still, they seem to know more about your life than you do. Where you should work. Whom you should marry. What you should study. They will lead your life if you allow them. Jesus didn’t.” (105)

The book also has a neat Sweet Spot Discovery Guide to help readers dig deeper in finding their sweet spot. The first part of the guide is written by People Management International, Inc. The second part of the guide is written by Steve Halliday. The Discovery Guide will assist in finding your God given purpose in life.

I enjoyed reading this Max Lucado book for the Cure for the Common Life. I learned how to love myself and be all that God wants me to be. I don’t have to be lead by others in what I need to be doing in life. I have to follow the path God wants me to follow and accomplish. In reading this book, I have found my sweet spot! I would recommend this book to teenagers and adults who need to love themselves more and who need to find the purpose of their lives. Everyone has a purpose and a calling that only they can do. The world needs you to be everything you were suppose to be! Are you living in your sweet spot? If you aren’t get this book!

The Long Way Home by Andrew Klavan Book Review

In The Long Way Home, Charlie West is trying to search for answers about what happened to him and why he can’t remember the past year of his life. He can’t even remember falling in love with his crush, Beth Summers. The police are after West trying to capture him and put him back in jail for the murder of his best friend, Alex.  An undercover Islam group called the Homelanders is also trying to hunt down West and have him killed. He has to be constantly on the run from the police and the Homelanders. West is heading back to his hometown in search for the answers of who killed Alex and why. West is trying to protect his family, his lover, and his friends from getting into any trouble. He must prove his innocent before it is too late! He must not get killed or taken back to prison but the police and the Homelanders are coming for him! Will he find out the answers that he is seeking? Can he handle the truth? Will he be capture or killed in the process of finding out the truth?

I enjoyed book two in the Homelanders series! I would recommend this book to anyone who loves action and an adventure. The book is written for the Juvenile audience but my Granny has even read the series and loved it! So doesn’t let the word Juvenile scare you into not reading it, adults can read it too! It will keep you reading along trying to help West figure out the truth. I can’t wait to keep reading the series and enjoying the answers that are revealed. The book is hard to put down and it has a lot of action. This book series needs to be made into a movie or a TV series! I would watch it, for sure!
