I Will Thrive: Find Your Fight to Claim True Freedom by Nicole Crank Book Review

I Will Thrive, Nicole Crank explored how we can get from just surviving to thriving and gaining freedom in our everyday life. She described in her book about her life story and how she dealt with her pain and was able to find true freedom. He begins the book by explain her life story. Nicole is a pastor at a megachurch and has her own show on Christian TV. Her first story started on her birthday and she was celebrating her birthday as a newly married couple. Her and her husband worked together at the same company. This was her first time that she saw her husband for who he really was. He didn’t come home on the night or her birthday. She admitted to calling the police but they were unable to file a missing person report. Two days had passed before he finally showed back up at home and she asked where he had been and he yelled at her. She shared how she was flung like a rag doll and he locked her out of their bedroom. Next, she called his mother and he got upset about how she was involving his parents. This is when the physical fights started and she also discovered he used crack cocaine. She revealed how this started a destructive cycle and how he went to rehab a few times and then he would relapse. She even had a few restraining orders against him. He would also drain their bank accounts and max out their credit cards. She lost most of her stuff because he would pawn it off for drug money. She became hopeless and was heartbroken. She was afraid for her son’s safety. She shared how she had to learn to learn on to God’s protection and find her true hope in the Alpha and the Omega.

She also opened up about a painful experience that involved a revolver and he pulled the trigger and no bullet would come out. He later tried to shooting himself and the bullet also wouldn’t fire. She explained how she had faith and hope and how she received two miracles that day. Then, she also looked at the story of Joseph and how he knew his brothers wanted to kill him and how he instead thrived and overcame the trial.

I would recommend this life changing book to anyone who is seeking a book to help you get free from the pain and heartbreaks of life. I connected with her story and I loved how open she was in sharing her story. She wasn’t afraid to open up about her childhood. I think many people will be able to relate to her upbringing. She experienced her biological dad leaving her family, being molested, bullying, being raped, and being abused by her first husband. I also loved how she shared how she met her new husband, David and how she experiences very different things and met with compassion. There is countless wisdom enclosed in this book and it will assist readers into gaining freedom from their own past and move forward towards freedom.
