In The Beast or the Lamb, Derek Prince discussed the topic of the Antichrist, mark of the beast, and how Jesus is the Lamb. The spirit of the Antichrist is more present today than ever. This is the sign of the end times. He explored the marks of the Antichrist and how he will associate with Christians and the church. He will deny the relationship with the father and son. He will state that Jesus didn’t come from the Flesh and he will not confess Jesus. Derek shared how he believed that the first spirit of the Antichrist, we saw happened when the crowd was deciding between Jesus or Barabbas. They freed a murderer and a political figure. He strongly believes that they crowd was overtaken and influenced by the spirit of the Antichrist. They were controlled by angry, jealousy, and rage. The book looked at historical examples of the spirit including, Judaism, Islam, Apostate Christianity, just to name a few. 

 

 

 

I would recommend this awesome book on Revelations and the Antichrist to anyone who wants to understand the end times and what is to come. I immensely loved how Derek explained how important the Lamb is and what it meant in the Passover. I liked how he went into detail about the number 666 and how to calculate it. I thought this was interesting that he looked at the Greek and Hebrew example. I also loved how he looked at the Holy Spirit in both testaments of the Bible and the aspects of Him. This book will help readers to decide which one they want to follow in the last days- the Lamb or the Beast.

In They Shall Expel Demons, Derek Prince explored the topic of what are demons, and the hidden truths of demons and their characteristics, and what all they can do. Some of these characteristics included, harass, compel, enslave, deceive, attack the physical body, and much more. He also shared how demons enter you and how they can gain a foothold into your life. Some of these included, family background, pressures in childhood, sinful acts, laying hands, idle words, and much more. He revealed that idolatry can be traced back for four generations and it could be up to thirty people who could have been influenced by a demon and they could have practiced false religion against God. In the book, Derek shared his experience with depression and how he overcame it and his enemy. He also goes into detail about his first confrontation with demons and how he was able to learned how to case out demons. Throughout the book, he shared personal stories he witnessed demons coming out of people lives and how their lives changed afterwards. He revealed to readers 9 steps to receive deliverance from demonic powers. He also shared how to keep your deliverance from the demons influencing your life. 

I would recommend this awesome book to anyone who is bound by chains and they are under the control of satan and his demons. Derek did a lot of research in the scriptures on the power of demons and their characteristics. I liked how he revealed some of the demon’s names and where they were found in scripture. I was shocked to learn about how demons can come into your life and how we have to even be careful about who lays their hands on us an evil spirit can be released into our lives. I immensely liked how he explored deliverance and how to expel demonic powers in our lives. Some of the personal stories he shared from others was very surprising and they were eye-opening. I believe readers will be able to connect with them and even relate to them and some will see how they might even be under demonic influence. I also liked in the new edition, they included a study guide and the answers, life application questions, a memory verse, and a faith response for each chapter. If you’re ready to receive deliverance from demonic influence in your life, then read this book!

By Grace Alone: Finding Freedom and Purging Legalism from Your Life By Derek Prince Book Review

In By Grace Alone, Derek Prince explored the law and legalism and following all of the religious rules to being a good Christian. He began the book by looking at the Law of Moses and how it was a closed system and you have to follow the commands perfectly. The good news, Derek revealed that Christ fulfilled the law when He died on the cross for our sins and we now have the concept of grace. Another strong point of the book is Derek discussing the true definition of love and how we need people in our lives who will stand beside us instead of the ones who only want to betray us with a kiss. He thoroughly went through the diverse benefits of grace in multiple chapters.

 

I would recommend this magnificent book on understanding the concepts of grace to all believers. I learned the importance of getting rid of our legalism and all of our rules that religion tries to put on us. I immensely loved how he portrayed how grace was introduced and how it has changed when Jesus died for our sins. The book is a little long to read because it’s written more formal and treacherous. But it’s effective at presenting the information of the slope of grace. If you’re pursuing a book on comprehending grace, then read this one!

Rules of Engagement: Preparing for Your Role in the Spiritual Battle By Derek Prince Updated and Expanded Edition Book Review

 

Derek Prince is a well known Bible teaching and author. He passed away in 2003, at the age of 88 years old. The publisher has decided to rerelease this book with new teachings he has written before he passed. Rules of Engagement is written to strengthen believers into facing and enduring until the final battle between Jesus and satan’s demonic forces. Every person has to encounter testing times and chastening from our sins sometime in their lives. Chastening occurs when we have committed sins and have been disobedient and God is calling us to repent and turn from them. Testing means we’re growing in our character while having to undergo difficult times. Trusting in God and His faithfulness is a key aspect in coming out stronger in our testing times. Derek Prince had a wonderful point about how people are willing to trust a banker with their money than trusting that God will bring them out of their current circumstances that they are dealing with.

 

The book also encourages readers to worship and praise the Lord who died for our many sins and mistakes. Worship is considered to be an attitude of thanksgiving and we’re supposed to bow our head or bow down on our knees with our hands raised worshiping our Creator. Derek Prince personally believed that worship is a time of resting in God’s holy presence. I have to admit that I haven’t considered worship to be a state of resting, breathing, and listening to His voice. In my church, we identify worship as singing and dancing, not being still and resting. But Prince looks as worship and praise as two separate things that we can do to honor our Heavenly Father.  Praise is the element of singing and dancing about the goodness of God during a church service or even a home service. There are times when we need to shout with a voice of triumph about how thankful we are to be saved, loved, protected, provided for, healed, made whole, and forgiven. Another facet is remembering that praise and saying the name of Jesus makes the enemy tremble and shake! He has to flee!

 

I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to learn about how to conquer our enemy with praising and worshiping our Savior.  This book will guide readers into applying the word of God and how to put on the full armor of God against attacks from satan.  This book taught be a lot about enduring to the final battle and holding on until Christ’s glorious return. If you’re looking to grow in your faith and trusting in God’s all power then this book will benefit you. Satan wants you to live in fear and doubt but always remember that he is the one who is really afraid of our Jesus!
