The Jeremiah Study Bible: Psalms and Proverbs by Dr. David Jeremiah Book Review

The Jeremiah Study Bible is enclosed in a gray leather bound book covering Psalms and Proverbs. Psalms was written by King David and Proverbs was written by Solomon. Jeremiah uses the English Standard Version of the Bible in this book. He begins the book by writing a welcome letter to readers. He describes his background of his father being a pastor and his mother helping to live it out in their home. When his father passed, he was gifted sermon notes and his Bibles. Dr. David Jeremiah has been in ministry for over 40 years. Before each book, he included introductions to assist readers in learning the background of how they were written and the timeframe. He also breaks it down until “what it says, what it means, and what it means for you”. He encouraged readers to read, medicate, explore the themes in the books, and join a Bible study to dig in deeper. Throughout the book, it contained sidebars such as, “picture this, historically speaking, fyi, tough questions, and reflection”. It also has essentials of the Christian throughout the book and footnotes on helping readers to understand what they are reading. There are many encouraging scriptures in these two books of the Bible. They both cover themes such as, joy coming in the morning, the steadfast love of God, God is our deliverer, worshiping our Creator, the value of discovering wisdom, speaking life giving words, the woman who fears God, and much more. This is also some special online resources and this includes videos, audio, and additional reading material.

I would recommend this amazing study Bible to anyone who is ready to grow in their relationship with Christ and they are ready to seek wisdom. I immensely like how Dr. David Jeremiah included special introductions and he went into details about what all this means for us and how we can apply daily to our everyday lives. Psalms and Proverbs is probably one of the two biggest books of the Bible people look for when they are seeking wisdom for their circumstances and they both provide comfort and encouragement. I liked how he included helpful footnotes to explain certain key points of scriptures. I enjoyed reading the verses and obtaining the wisdom we can learn from each page. I liked how the book was a nice size and it’s easy to carry around. If you’re looking for a new study Bible on these chapters, then read this book!
