Vindication TV Show Season One Review

Vindication is a brand-new TV show that premiered last year in 2019. Fans can stream it on Pure Flix and it’s also available for purchase on Amazon Prime. There is ten episodes in the first season of the series. The series is a crime drama faith-based series. One of the major characters is Detective Travis and his detective trainee, Kris. They worked on a number of different cases together throughout the series. Some of the themes and topics of the episodes included, affairs, sexting, chasing wealth, drug addiction, human trafficking, prostitution, dark web, pornography, and the consequences of committing sins. Each episode showed a faith aspect and a message that everyone can learn something from. The storylines also showed his family life and fans will be on the edge of their seats waiting to see what happens.

I would recommend this TV show to anyone who enjoys crime drama shows. It reminded me more of a cleaner crime show, fans won’t be seeing a lot of blood or graphic images. The themes do contain real life situations but they are told in a more general descriptions and not too graphic compared to something like Criminal Minds, NCIS, or Law and Order. I think the faith aspect of the series make it unique in the crime shows field. I honestly believe most Christians would enjoy watching the series especially, if they enjoy watching crime shows and they wouldn’t have to worry too much about it being to bloody or graphic. I loved the acting in the series and the different topics they covered. I do feel like some of the first parts of the series was kind of slower. But towards the end of the series, the action picks up around episode eight. I will say I loved the family drama that fans will see and the storyline at the end of very heartbreaking and suspenseful. I liked how the family chose to dealt with something they didn’t see coming. I also liked how the series showed the consequences of sins and decisions and how they can change and affect our lives and others forever. I immensely loved how they enclosed faith and showed the watchers how faith can help you through life. The detective Travis wasn’t a very God believing person. Towards the end of the series, he somewhat changes and starts to believe in some of who God is. There is much more he needs to learn about God and I think that would probably more of a focus in the later seasons.
