Vindication TV Show Season One Review

Vindication is a brand-new TV show that premiered last year in 2019. Fans can stream it on Pure Flix and it’s also available for purchase on Amazon Prime. There is ten episodes in the first season of the series. The series is a crime drama faith-based series. One of the major characters is Detective Travis and his detective trainee, Kris. They worked on a number of different cases together throughout the series. Some of the themes and topics of the episodes included, affairs, sexting, chasing wealth, drug addiction, human trafficking, prostitution, dark web, pornography, and the consequences of committing sins. Each episode showed a faith aspect and a message that everyone can learn something from. The storylines also showed his family life and fans will be on the edge of their seats waiting to see what happens.

I would recommend this TV show to anyone who enjoys crime drama shows. It reminded me more of a cleaner crime show, fans won’t be seeing a lot of blood or graphic images. The themes do contain real life situations but they are told in a more general descriptions and not too graphic compared to something like Criminal Minds, NCIS, or Law and Order. I think the faith aspect of the series make it unique in the crime shows field. I honestly believe most Christians would enjoy watching the series especially, if they enjoy watching crime shows and they wouldn’t have to worry too much about it being to bloody or graphic. I loved the acting in the series and the different topics they covered. I do feel like some of the first parts of the series was kind of slower. But towards the end of the series, the action picks up around episode eight. I will say I loved the family drama that fans will see and the storyline at the end of very heartbreaking and suspenseful. I liked how the family chose to dealt with something they didn’t see coming. I also liked how the series showed the consequences of sins and decisions and how they can change and affect our lives and others forever. I immensely loved how they enclosed faith and showed the watchers how faith can help you through life. The detective Travis wasn’t a very God believing person. Towards the end of the series, he somewhat changes and starts to believe in some of who God is. There is much more he needs to learn about God and I think that would probably more of a focus in the later seasons.

ATG Today App Review

ATG Today is a brand new app that contains a daily Bible verse. It was created by the founders of Awakening to God Ministries. It also allows the user to journal and add an image to remind themselves of something God is showing them. It has two different modes: day and night with different questions users can answer. Some of the questions ask about what we are thankful for, what God is speaking to us today, what we are praying, how God has touched our lives today, and how we could have shown God’s love more today. It contains a calendar where users can back track and see some of their previous posts. There is a reminder notifications feature. The app also shares with readers eight minutes about they encouraged readers to take eight minutes a day to build their relationship with God.

I would recommend this new daily Bible verse and journal to anyone who is looking to grow their relationship with Christ. One of scripture verses that came up on the devotional app was Luke 12:7 and this one reminded readers about how God knows all of the hairs on our head. We are reminded to not to be afraid. We are more valuable than the sparrows. I truly believe the new journal has the potential to positively impact our lives. If users would just take eight minutes a day to reflect and mediate on God’s word and how He is trying to speak to us. I liked how the journal allowed you to take photos and contemplate how our day went and what we are praying for. If you’re looking for a brand new app to grow in your relationship with Christ, then download this one!

Grace of God: A Story of Easter Traditions DVD Review and Giveaway

Grace of God is a movie starring John Ratzenberger, Erin Bethea, Lorenzo Lamas, and much more. The plot is about a church’s offering plate locked in a safe is stolen. The theft was able to obtain over $30,000. The church decides to ask a detective to help investigate the crime. The detective doesn’t believe in God and is very critical of Christian and the body of Christ. He interrogates a number of church members and makes most of them feel uncomfortable. He explores their past trying to get to the bottom of the crime. He finally gets one church member to confess to the crime. The church has a decision to make will they offer forgiveness or will they cast the first stone.

I would recommend this awesome movie to anyone who enjoys faith filled movies that contain a powerful message. The acting was superb and the characters brought the story to life. I really liked how this movie was clean for the whole family and it contained an excellent message about the Ten Commandments, forgiveness, grace, unbelief, and the importance of faith. Although, this film is a fictional film it very well happens because one of my old church members stole from my former church so it doesn’t surprise me. And as congregation we choose to forgive. When I was watching the movie, I was trying to figure out who took the money and why and it kept me guessing until the very end. I was shocked to discover who really committed the crime. If you’re looking for a new movie to enjoy for family night, then watch this one!

Having lost his faith many years ago, Detective Bill Broadly is called to investigate the disappearance of the local church’s collection plate. As he questions its various church members, rumors swirl as more congregants learn about the theft. When one unexpected church-goer confesses to stealing the funds, the confession resurrects Broadly’s views on God, and helps him see that through faith and belief there really is rebirth and redemption.
