My Review:

 

The book enclosed a forward by Henry Blackaby and he was one of the people who helped to put this Bible together. He has witnessed encounters with God and was forever changed by them. He was first changed by reading the Bible and encountering God on a personal level. He grew up in Canada and his father was a Christian and modeled to his kids the importance of studying the word of God. He shared how his personal encounters changed him and how he went on to start 38 missions and founding a Bible college. Throughout his ministry, he has witnessed firsthand how God’s encounters changed people lives and a key part was through reading and studying His word. 

 

 

Each Bible section had an introduction, significance, structure, and encountering God. The Bible had encounter note spread throughout the entire Bible. One of my favorites discussed Ps. 33:18 and it was on fear. This told us to fear the Lord only and not to fear people. When we are able to know God and have a good view of him then we will be able to see our adversaries in the right view and have the right perspective no matter what we may face. The Bible also had word study that break down the meaning of an important word and the context in the Bible. It also had a section that explained the faith. They shared a character study on certain people in scriptures. They had a historical encounter. The Bible contained helpful maps such as Jerusalem featuring David’s city and where it was located. The book shared David’s triumphs and troubles and referred to which verses they are and on where they can be found. I really believe this was extremely helpful in breaking down the message of David. The book contained a Biblical timeline, harmony of the Gospels, read you Bible in a year, prophecies and fulfillments, index to special features, concordance. The Bible comes in a black leather design and contained two ribbons- one teal and one navy. The teal color is very beautiful and makes it super easy to find. 

 

 

I would recommend this Bible to anyone who wants to experience an encounter with God. It is very well put together and the text is 9 points so it makes it very easy to read on the eyes. I liked how the Bible highlighted key encounters with God and helps readers to grow closer to Christ. There are tons of helpful features in the Bible such as encounter notes and words and explaining the faith. I liked how they strongly encouraged readers to actively open the word and try to encounter God daily and to see how God’s word can apply to our lives. I also liked how they covered the problem of pain and why bad things happen to good people. I’m writing this review while they are singing a tribute to Christian singer, Mandisa. As, I believe we are all wondering why. We just have to remember that God will wipe every tear from our eyes and there will be no one death or pain. The suffering we are experiencing now is nothing compared to the glory which is on the way. This is a wonderful Bible to add to your collection and it one that will help to experience an encounter with God in a new and bright way.

My Review:

 

After Death is an exceptional film about the afterlife and what happens to us after we die. The film also contained helpful studies and scientific research on the topic and touches on spiritual and what does happen when we die. This film contained stories from real life examples explaining how they felt God’s presence at what they believe was the end. I thought it was really wonderful how they enclosed authors from famous pieces that have already written books about their personal experiences. This film combines the stories into a telling masterpiece. One of my favorite’s stories, I haven’t heard of before was about Dale Black and how he survived a deadly plane crash and how he was above looking down upon the crash site. He was witnessing all of the events and could see what was happening to him. It was eye opening and very revealing in watching the film unfold with lots of different experiences. A lot of them was up in the sky above them while they were trying to be saved from doctors. Some felt a bright light and peace and was told they still have a purpose to complete. Others had a dark place experience and felt they were falling into the darkness and they were consumed with fear. Viewers will be forever changed and will feel more at peace in watching what others have experienced. I do believe this film has the potential to get the conversation started between family and friends and non-believers. I also loved how much they believe in this film and how they are offering a cool program to pay it forward to viewers who might not be able to afford a movie ticket.

My Review: 

 

This Bible is a brand-new Bible for 2023 and it’s very unique in the fact that it is focused more on a counseling aspect. There has been an upward trend in how many Christian literature has been published on the topic of Christian counseling. This Bible includes helpful Christian literature that is geared towards exploring upon key issues we deal with on a day-to-day level. Some of these included, moving from fear to faith, sinlessness, controlling angry, addicted to porn, grieving a suicide, divorce recovery, homosexuality, stressed to the max, Alzheimer disease, self-harm, and much more. They are placed throughout the entire Bible to help us in understand more about the times we are facing. They are written from top counselors and scholars in the world. These included, David Powlison, Joni Eareckson Tada, Amy Baker, Paul Tripp, just to name a few. There are about 150 articles presented in the Bible. The book included word studies, maps, call out quotes, tropical scripture index, book introductions.

 

 

I will look at one article to go over. I decided on looking at the what we should do about anxiety. One of the first things, we should do when we are feeling anxiety is to take every thought captive. We need to ponder on whether the thought is coming from Christ or the father of lies. We can start by asking if God wants us worrying about what will happen next. The answer to this question is no he doesn’t. It’s important to fill our minds with the knowledge found in scripture and be reminded of His promises. It’s viral that we ask for forgiveness and keep ourselves free of guilty. This can be a leading cause of feeling anxious. Paying attention to what our internal thoughts and what if questions can help us to deal with them and to look into scriptures for guidance on who God is and how He truly cares for us. This counseling article encouraged readers to write down their thoughts daily to help you apply what scriptures instead declares. This article went over the physical symptoms you may feel when you are suffering from an anxiety attack and the solutions that will assist them overcoming them. 

 

 

I would recommend this splendid Bible to anyone who is seeking a new Bible that contains helpful advice and teaching from top counselors. I really enjoy reading the different articles and I appreciated how they covered the topics that are happening in days times. They didn’t shy away from looking at suicide, homosexuality, sex, abortion, and divorce. Most Bible’s I have seen don’t really like to discuss those topics. I also liked how they included two ribbons to keep track of your process and it made it easier to flip back and forth to study scriptures. It also had wide margins if you wanted to take some short notes and write down your thoughts and it was written in Black font. I also liked how it enclosed a concordance to make it easier to study certain topics. I liked the blue and green colors they used throughout the design of the Bible. It had a fresh new look. It would make a great gift to a fellow student, a new parent, or someone who is getting engaged.

My Thoughts:

 

 

I was blown away and touched by the message and how impactful this film will be. This movie is one that will tear on your heartstrings. It was difficult to watch her husband in losing himself and running away after battling mental illness. They in turn decide to give away blankets to the homeless community and they find a purpose in their pain. It was great in seeing that they scored actress, Anna Camp as the lead role for this film. She has starred in The Help, Jerry and Marge Go Large, all three films of Pitch Perfect. I'm really excited to watch this brand new film!

I’m really excited to watch this new Christmas film. It looks like a fun twist where High School Musical meets A Week Away. The music sounds really appealing and there will be some new Christmas songs for your family to enjoy this Holiday season. There will also be some fun dancing scenes set in the nativity scene setting. I believe this movie will bring the true message of Christ and Christmas to the big screen.

I’m really excited to watch this movie and be inspired by the power of adoption. I’m interested to see how they connect and meet in the movie and how their lives will change forever. I have always enjoyed watching movies with Kirk Franklin in them. I’m also glad seeing that Alex Kendrick is back in a new role in this film. It appears that this will be another hit like War Room and Courageous was.

My Review:

 

I watched this movie for the second time in over a year. I was reminded about how a lot of churches/speaking engagements try and add fun activities in order to lure in new believers and to keep it fresh where people will keep returning. This movie is all about trying to focus just on the Gospel and the true message. Joey Fatone buys a over the top character and he sings constantly trying to impress the pastor’s daughter. He is attempting to win her in marriage. In viewing it a second time, there is parts you forget about. One of these was the character Blaise and how his parents are a “yes” parents’ system. They allow their son to do whatever he pleases. He wanted to be the one to participate in the crucifixion reenactment and his parents were all in support of it. It has a powerful message about not forgetting the true message of Christ instead focusing on the teaching of the Gospel.
