Super You is a new children’s book about how we are superhero’s daring to save the world. One of the ways in which we are super is because we help others and perform super deeds to make someone’s life better. It also shows how bad guys can’t stop us. We can make friends with others and learn to share our toys with others. Adventures will happen and we can be creative and learn to be superheroes.
I would recommend this awesome book to children aged 3 to 7. This book will teach our children to be superheroes and to be who they are called to be. We can embrace our creative traits and go on adventures. I liked how the book reminded our children that they are helpful, kind, and generous in helping others. I liked the core message of the book about learning to enjoy yourself and becoming the super you. I loved all of the bright colors and how it was action packed. It will remind our children of Marvel/Warner cartoons and it has an even better message in this book and it will encourage us to celebrate our uniqueness.

With God I Always Have Hope is a brand-new 90-day devotional. It designed with the intend for readers to be able to read a quick devotional in under two minutes. Each day contained a verse, short story, a reflect question, prayer, declaration, and an action. The book is based on how Jesus reminded readers that He would be us always. They remind us of Isaiah 40:31 and this stated how hope in Christ can renew our strength. These devotionals are meant to encourage readers to always have hope no matter what they are currently facing.
One of my favorite days is about how a laugh is redeemed. This one discussed Sarah and how God promised they would have a son. Sarah was old and way past the age to have a child. She laughed when she was told she would have a child. They explained how a year later she had a son, Isaac. His name means laugher. God was able to replace her cynicism with joy and hope. She was able to break free from her disappointment and God’s promise come to pass.
I would recommend this incredible devotional to anyone who is needing more hope in their life. I immensely loved how each day contained helpful encouragement to deal with our disappointment and fiery trials. I loved how each day was built to cause us to hope and believe in God and have faith that anything is possible. I loved the declarations and how there was an action to help us live out each day. I also liked the cover of the book and how each page reminded me of fishing on the ocean with Jesus. There were great blue color tones in each page.

Your Time is Now is a brand-new devotional from Jonathan Evans. The book enclosed 90 devotionals and is divide into nine parts. These parts included “now, but, look, go, confidence”, and much more. In the book, he shared how he was an NFL football player and he was dropped by the Dallas Cowboys. He shared how he was able to rise above this and to keep going forward. He started the first section of the devotional by exploring the power of now. The first day discussed Proverbs 3:5-6 and how we are instructed to trust God and how He will make guide us in our paths. He explained how now is the time to go after something new and to pursue everything God has for us. He looked at Joshua and how he became the leader after Moses and how his time was now. There wasn’t time for Israel to be mourning Moses instead it was time to move forward as a nation. He was able to become an effective leader and to go after his purpose.
I would recommend this awesome devotional to anyone who is ready to step into God’s calling on their life and they are ready to go after their purpose. I loved how each day had a short story message, verse, application questions, and a prayer. I loved reading about Jonathan life and how open he was with losing his football dreams and what he learned about following after God’s purpose. One of my favorite days was about God rescuing us from our fears. He shared the story of the Lion King and Simba living with fear. I immensely loved how he turned this story into a story about Christ. I liked how he explained His death and how Jesus overcame his scars and how we cannot allow our past or fears to stop us.

In Ordinary on Purpose, Mikala Albertson explored the power of laying down the need for a perfect life and instead learning to appreciate and finding the beauty in everyday life. She opened up in the book about how she tried to hide from others about her failing marriage and how her husband was addicted to drugs and alcohol for over seven years. She was also raising two children at the time. She begins the book by sharing how she tried to blend in and to be a chameleon in high school and college. • Whether it’s a second shot during a friendly round, rediscovering lost priorities, or the opportunity to make something good of a situation gone bad, there are times we all could use a mulligan.
• Based on the popular book by Wally Armstrong and Ken Blanchard, THE MULLIGAN is an inspiring reminder that second chances are only one step away. From the producer of BOBBY JONES: STROKE OF GENIUS, and the director-producer team behind THE ULTIMATE GIFT comes THE MULLIGAN, sporting an all-star cast that includes Eric Close (NASHVILLE, AMERICAN SNIPER) as Paul, Pat Boone as the Old Pro, and PGA golfer Tom Lehman and broadcasting legend Jim Nantz as themselves. See it in theaters for two nights only on April 18 & 19.
About the book, The Mulligan:
THE MULLIGAN is based on the beloved book by former PGA touring pro Wally Armstrong and bestselling author and business executive Ken Blanchard. This inspiring story about relationships, forgiveness, and priorities is a shot of grace. Golf's gracious do-over, a mulligan is the beginning of Paul McAllister’s second chance. Guided by the wisdom and advice of the Old Pro, Paul learns about priorities, self-confidence, and playing a good game both on and off the course. The Mulligan is a parable of second chances.
My Review:
The Mulligan is a movie about a leading business executive and CEO, Paul McAllister and he is a workaholic. Paul is separated from his wife for five years. His wife is a big time Christian and believes and prays for her family and still has hope. He doesn’t really have a relationship with either his son anymore. One day, he is participating in a charity gold event to try and connect with another business leader. During the game, he allows his anger to the best of them and he breaks the golf club. One of the golf introduced him to Old Pro and he tries to influence him and teach him what a mulligan is and how he can have a do over with his family. His son is also a professional motor cross racer who gets into a serious accident. His father is forced to take care of his son and we get an inside look on the pain his son feels.
I would recommend this awesome movie to anyone who enjoys golf and is also seeking a story about forgiveness and a strong message about second chances. I loved watching Eric Close in this movie and fans will recognize him from Nashville, Suits, Criminal Minds, Without a Trace, the Magnificent Seven, just to name a few. I also liked seeing that Gary Weeks was in this movie and fans will recognize him from Outer Banks. I immensely enjoyed watching him act in a movie that had such a positive message about second chances. I liked seeing the relationship change between father and son and the message on how they were able to reconnect. This movie is also very family friendly and it’s a movie to keep re-watching. I also loved how the older pro golf was able to teach Paul the importance of life and the power of second chances.

If The Tomb is Empty, Joby Martin explored the topic of how the empty was discovered empty. He explained how anything is possible. He divided each chapter into mountains that we are standing on such as, mount of beatitudes, mount of temptations, mount of transfiguration, and ends with Jesus’ death on mount calvary. These included stories on mountains featuring Elijah, Jesus, Abraham, Moses, just to name a few.
One of the chapters discussed Elijah and how he was a prophet. Elijah explained how the Israelites were very open to worshipping their idols. They would often times forget about God and how he provided for them. He shared the whole story between Elijah and the 850 prophets of Baal. Many of our idols are money, medication, drinking, social media, watching and streaming shows, turning to other people arms for comfort, and anything else we put above God. Joby explained how the importance of the empty tomb and how anything is possible. He reminded readers that since God create us that He can in fact can still heal us. He also shared how critical it is to pray big prayers and to have faith as big as a mustard seed.
I also liked how he shared how they started his church Eleven22 and where the name come from. It’s a very interesting story and how it was all from the start time of his first preaching service. He has since gone on to build churches and two which are located in prison. One of my favorite stories, he shared was how when he was twenty-two years old and he met Sunshine. He was in seminary and working three jobs with one being ministry. Across from one of his other jobs, there was a stripper club. He would practice over his sermon and he eventually got Sunshine to attend church with her child. Of course, we all know how the church judged Sunshine and one of the deacons asked what kind of example that was sending to the children. I loved how this led to when he started his own church, they even have a monthly program to reach out to local strip club. He explained his church mission which is to lead a movement for all people to deepen a relationship with Christ.
I would recommend this life changing book to anyone who is seeking encouragement and they are needing to remember that everything is possible with Christ. I immensely loved how he covered the different mountains found in the Bible and how there is a message we can learn from each Bible character. I loved how he stated how if we truly believed that the tomb is empty, then we would live a different life. This is a wonderful book about Christ’s resurrection and the power found in that act. This is a great book to read to get prepare for the Easter season!
