Uprising: The Epic Battle for the Most Fatherless Generation in History by Kris Vallotton Book Review

In Uprising, Kris Vallotton explored the role of a father and how we are seeing a big dilemma in the absent role of fathers. We are currently experiencing the negative side effects in our generation and half of our kids are being born out of wedlock without an active role of a father. He shared how we are living in a feminized society and a part of it is mothers are having to raise them alone without any father present. There are some women who are offended and have toxic attitudes towards men in general. This has led to gender confusion and men aren’t being taught how to protect, provide, and promote. There are also changes in our school system such as the use of pronouns and how normally it is to have two mothers and two daddies. In California, it is now illegal to withdraw your children from these core classes. The book also looked at toxic masculinity and how fatherless homes are more prone to become rapists, violence, suicide, homeless, and much more.

He explained the Malachi mandate and how the walls of Jerusalem had been destroyed for over 141 years. The Jews tried to rebuilt it for over 94 years and they have been unable to accomplish this task. Nehemiah was able to in 52 days. He would make families work on the walls near their house and they would take turns building the walls and protecting the workers from outsiders. He compares this story to how we need to rebuilt the walls that are broken down in our generation and bring restoration to our world.

I would recommend this magnificent book to anyone who is wanting to learn more about what we can do about our fatherless generation and how we can change it. I thought this book was one of the best books I have read on fatherless and how it taught us how we can actively participate in leading the uprising that needs to happen. I loved the concept of “The Peter Pan Syndrome” and how this is referred to men acting like a child who are refusing to grow up. This story is a very powerful illustration about how boys tend to stay in their own self-centerless and they stay stuck in Neverland. I also appreciated how open he was in sharing his own personal story about losing his father at age 3 from a drowning accident and he was only 24 years old at the time. He was very open about how this changed him at young age. I also enjoyed the suggest he has on leaving behind a legacy for the next generation. They put $50 a month in a savings account for each grandchild to invest in their future. I thought this was a wonderful idea to bless people for the future. Will you join the battle?

Spiritual Intelligence: The Art of Thinking Like God by Kris Vallotton Book Review

In Spiritual Intelligence, Kris Vallotton explored the topic of our spiritual intelligence quotient and how we can have the mind of Christ. He explained how he was able to lead a talk session at Google and they discussed how Christianity can have an impact in the technology space. Most of them from Google have heard of IQ, EQ, and AI but not SQ. Throughout the book, he looked at how IQ, EQ, and SQ all worked together. He went into detail about renewing our minds and how we can be transformed. He explained how he studied many books on the subject of neuroscience and some were written by Dr. Caroline Leaf, such as one titled, “Why Switched Off My Brain?”. He learned how we can create positive mindsets and he revealed eight symptoms of a transformed mind. Some of these included, “full of hope, live in peace and don’t worry, like yourself, quick to forgive, believe in others, know how to think tri-dimensionally”, and much more.

He shared what we can learn about Joshua and how he was instructed to medicate on God’s written Word and how God told him He would make him successful and prosperous. He discussed how we can transform our minds and we can choose what to believe and what negative lies that are opposed in the Word of God. This in turn will force new neural pathways to develop in our brains and help us to renew our minds.

I would recommend this amazing book to anyone who is read to dive into the topic of spiritual intelligence and they are ready to learn more about how we can renew our minds to become more like Christ. I immensely liked how he shared the five receptivity’s: “think, know, feel, see, and hear” and how we can grow and transform our minds and lives to become closer to Christ. I enjoyed how he included a special assessment in the back of the book where readers can see and learn about unique things about their spiritual intelligence. One of my favorite stories was the one he shared about duct tape and how he was able to set people free from their oppression. He explained how he saw words written on top of people’s heads and he went up to them and asked if he could rip it off. Some of the words was abandoned, depression, abused, raped, chronic fatigue, and much more. He revealed how God was able to teach him to help set people free and get deliverance. If you’re looking for a book on tapping into the mind of Christ and transforming your mind and life, then read this book!

Winning the War Within: The Journey to Healing and Wholeness by Jason Vallotton with Kris Vallotton Book Review

In Winning the War Within, Jason Vallotton, explored the topic of the war that is within us and how we all try and avoid the conflicts in life. He looked how Jesus describes a believer’s life and how in His name we can cast out demons, speak in tongues, pick up snakes, and place hands on people believing for their healing. He shared how we all have suffering and storms in life and we have to learn to preserve. In the book, he reveals the heartache he experienced when his wife left him after nine years. He describes how he dealt with his loneliness, disappointment, rejection, and the pain of letting go of the vision of happier ever after. He explains how we was able to work through his pain of prison and to get wholeness.

He explored the concept of the God’s spot and he asked everyone to look at who we are putting at the center of our lives. He shared how he struggled with this and he put his wife in his God’s spot. He expressed how he had a high pleaser personality and he hated conflict. He backs this up by looking at Psalms 23 and how this scripture explains how God is our Shepherd and how God is with us through the valley of the shadow of death. He discovered four ways to re-center our God spot and how we can let God back on the throne over our lives. He traces back to his childhood and how he struggled with fear and how it even led to him in accepting Christ a lot of this was out of fear of being left behind after watching a film. In his childhood, he sneaked into his parents to sleep on their floor and he had fears of dying and being alone. When he was fourteen-year-old he shared how he hated being home alone and how he would load a gun every day in case someone broke into their home. He revealed how he was taught by his dad to take every thought captive and how he learned to change his thoughts. He was able to overcome strongholds of fear and to recognize the lies before they took over control of his life.

I would recommend this amazing book to anyone who is experiencing struggles in their own lives and they are having a difficult time dealing with conflicts and they are overwhelmed. I immensely connected with his story of being afraid of being alone and how a film of being left behind drew him into receiving Christ. I was also led to salvation in the same way it was just a different movie then his was. I related to his personal story and have experiencing some of the same fears he has. I liked how he looked at the God’s spots in our lives and how we can change it and redirected it back to God being the center of our lives. In reading the book, I can’t help but wonder if maybe this Covid-19 virus is also supposed to bring us all back to Christ being the center and it’s to show us all that jobs, church, friends, family, school, and anything else isn’t supposed to our God for our lives. We are supposed to have Him at the center. I also liked how he included discussion questions at the end of each chapter to guide readers into thinking about their own lives and help them to find their wholeness. I believe this book has the power to assist readers into dealing with their pains, shattered dreams, and wounds and help them in working through the path to wholeness.

Poverty, Riches, and Wealth: Moving From a Life of Lack into True Kingdom Abundance By Kris Vallotton Book Review

In Poverty, Riches, and Wealth, Kris Vallotton discussed the topic of prosperity and how many believers are suffering from limitation and they don’t believe they will ever rise above their current level in life. He opened up about how in his own life he lost his father at a young age and they had to rely on social welfare programs to get by and they were poor. Later in life, he and his wife also owned nine businesses and he would warn his children about the dangers of wealth and he still struggled with his poverty mindset. They eventually became pastors at Bethel Church and they were being financially blessed and he admitted to struggling with feeling like people were judging them for how they were being blessed. He shared that someone helped pay off his house. He wrote this book to guide readers in tapping into the Kingdom’s wealth. This includes believing in the impossible and believing God is able to exceptional things, and believing that God will give you the resources to help bless others.

I would recommend this amazing book to anyone who is ready to move out of a spirit of lack and they are ready to believe for better things. I liked how the book went over how God sees us and how we are His son or daughter and we are seated next to Him at His table. He also shared how we need to ask for forgiveness and receive His forgiveness. Vallotton looked at how we see ourselves affects our view on poverty and prosperity. He also explored how we have to have the capacity to receive our blessings and he uses the story of the three men who all received different amounts of talents and how two of them invested and one man buried his money. He shared that the faithfully was blessed and they prospered. If you’re looking for a new book about prosperity, then read this book!

Destined to Win: How to Embrace Your God-Given Identity and Realize Your Kingdom Purpose by Kris Vallotton Book Review

In Destined to Win, Kris Vallotton explored the topic of discovering our true destinies and finding out who we truly are in Christ. He stated that we are His inheritance, His child, family, apple of His eye, and He will protect you from your enemies. He shared about how we are supposed to proactively care for our souls from the inside out and the power of love. He also looked at how we can benefit from having Godly counsel in our lives. He came up with seven helpful core values and seven relationship definitions. He also discussed about how we must build healthy boundaries and not try and become the Savior of the world and please everyone.

I would recommend this amazing book to anyone who is ready to discover their destiny and purpose in life. I liked how this book covered multiple different aspects of what our destiny encompasses. Kris did an excellent job at looking at who we are in Christ and he reminded readers of this. I liked how he included many scripture verses that conveyed what Christ wants us to know. One of my favorite topics was about how he discussed the lie about how time heals our wounds. He revealed the only real way to true freedom is to change the way we think about the past and the pain. We always find healing in forgiving people who hurt us. This prevents them from having power over our lives. This will immensely help us to have more peace and happiness when we are living in our destiny.

Spirit Wars: Winning the Invisible Battle Against Sin and the Enemy By Kris Vallotton Book Review

In Spirit Wars, Kris Vallotton wrote an awesome book on the spiritual world and how to stand against the demonic forces that are attacking us. Kris has experienced firsthand attacks from Satan and his demonic forces. He has suffered from panic attacks and depression. He became free! Vallotton discovered Nehemiah teaches believers the ways Satan attacks believers. Nehemiah was trying to rebuild the walls and gates around Jerusalem. Sanballat criticized Nehemiah by trying to stop him from rebuilding the walls. The devil is still present in today times and he is trying to stop believers from fulfilling the call of God on their lives. The devil makes us doubt our gifts and talents, he likes us to throw questions into our minds, he makes us lose our Faith in God, and so much more. Readers will learn about the armor of God and how to stand strong. The book contains chapters on “How to Cast out Demons” and “Generational Curses”.

The book was very eye opening and it was the best book that I have read on understanding the devils schemes. I have realized the importance of standing on the truth of God’s word. I have struggled with the spirit of depression and it was very comforting that Kris Vallotton came through his attacks. He also shared a story that many students entered College with feelings of anxiety. He noticed that they were getting closer to God’s purpose in their life and the enemy was trying to get them to remain in bondage. I have experienced the attack of fear and loss of sleep when I entered College. I connected with this story and saw what the enemy was trying to accomplish. I would recommend this wonderful book to everyone because we need to understand that we are in a fight. Satan is throwing conflicts right in front of our very lives. This book will encourage readers to stand strong in the last days and it will help you to know what you aren’t alone. The enemy is attacking us but we must stand on the truth of God’s word. If you’re struggling with spirits of depression, fear, addictions, and many other kinds of attacks just remember that they are from Satan. I gained a lot of knowledge from this book and I believe it will help you too!
